Glory’s Story
Glory Lamb is the founding director of the Razzle Dazzle Follies Dancers. While raising her children, she taught dance at UCSB, and Laguna Blanca School, as well as appeared in many starring roles in the Alhecama musicals at the Lobero Theatre in the1960's.
Her
love of dance and the theater never left her.
In 2003 she embarked on creating the Razzle Dazzle dancers to perform
Broadway style revues and entertain the Santa Barbara audiences once
again. Through an arrangement with City
of Santa Barbara active Adult program, she taught classes and provided dance
workshops for the retirement community.
Today, what began with four dancers has grown to a company of 20 strong. The Follies is currently under the new direction of Cathie Hetyonk. Since Cathie’s inception in 2006, Glory has been able to pursue other avenues of expression. Notably; a finalist as Mrs. Senior California! Presently she is performing with her song and dance partner, Rich Hoag, in their new act: Broadway A La Carte. In her spare time Glory has published her own book, South of Noon, My Tryst with the Tango.
The Santa Barbara Silver Follies are forever grateful for her vision that she developed into a reality. The group wishes her well in all her endeavors.
